My new silk dress from Topshop Boutique.... obsessed. Love how it hangs and how ridiculously oversized it is.There's nothing delicate about it, but that's why I like it. Apart from the fabric which is 100% silk. To be honest I think £80 is bloody good value for what you get with this beauty. Shoes are All Saints, they're a brilliant replacement from those ones that literally everyone bought from Topshop! Shame they actually belong to my housemate and not me!

It's been an ongoing obsession of mine for over a year now.... bralets with a midi or maxi skirt. I admit, I need to find new ways of wearing bralets. Maybe with trousers... although I'm not much of a trousery person.... Funnily enough, I always hated the idea of leather bralets. But saw the above photo of Wasson in a leather bralet AND she's wearing it with trousers - I think it looks amazing!

I've heard someone say before that they think 'inspirational posts' are a boring cop out. I think this is total bull*** as quite frankly they are what I enjoy the most! It is a huge part of my job to look for inspirational images, therefore if it was a meaningless, boring thing to be interested in or post about then I'd definitely say I was in the wrong industry! I love getting ideas from other peoples outfits, photographs and blogs. It's that combination of ideas that ultimately produces my own ideas.... all original in some way, but they definitely came from somewhere! Anyway, rant over, I'm feeling very inspired by embellishment at the moment (as you can see, that embellished bra in particular!). Also excited for the new pastel colour palette for SS12. Floral organza a la Christopher Kane SS12. Cosmic prints. Aztecs. Still loving my winter fashions though, still desperate for a multi coloured fur like the one in the last picture! New house and new wardrobe

I'm back!!!!!!!!!!!! So sorry for the huge blogging break, I've literally only just got the internet. Can you believe it - I was without a home for over 2 months, staying on friends... it was hard work! All I can say to anyone who is looking for a new place to live in London (especially East London), doesn't have a fortune but at the same time doesn't want to live in a squat - give yourself at least 4 months to look! It certainly aint easy! Anyway, a few snaps are of my new house (which I love, its so homely!) and some new clothes I have obtained recently. Going for the whole metallic thing.... but in a less girly way. I love this almost armour-like metallic vintage dress. It looks a bit dirty and haggard, but I like that. Also picked up the metallic skirt at a vintage fair in Balham... can't believe it's vintage?!?! and O.M.G I cannot quite explain how much I love my new fluffy jumper (see last pic)! I think I will be living in this from now on. All art work is of course done by my very talented father, my house is pretty much a homage to his work! So glad to be back and carry on blogging ! x

How frigging amazing are these booties?!?! I borrowed them from the press cupboard at work and really don't want to give them back...! I have to say I am extremely impressed by the boots Topshop are bringing out at the moment. The skirt is vintage and the top is part of a pyjama set from Topshop. Pretty simple and nothing too crazy, but like I've said before... it's all about good shoes for me these days. You don't need much else!

I was emailed the top picture at work yesterday from the Boutique department and it got me all excited.... Topshop are opening up a 'Secret Store' pop up shop in the Oxford Circus store, online and in New York on Thursday. It features a florist curated by Meadham Kirchoff with a store hidden inside that is full of special boutique pieces and designer collaborations. The clothes look AMAZING. They've collaborated with Pamela love, Emma Cook and Meadham Kirchoff to name a few. Above are also some pics of a few things they will be selling that I'm loving.....

Two of my new favourite purchases - this silver Zara jumper and blue vintage skirt I picked up from a day trip to Beyond Retro in Brighton. Totally obsessed with both. I've been doing an awful lot of shopping recently, however refusing to buy anything unless I'm completely 'obsessed' with it. It's a philosophy that's definitely working. It takes up far too much of my time (although I have just had 11 days off work that's why I've been able to do it...) but it means I'm ending up buying things I love rather than all the crap I never even wear!

Really loving what the Anywho girls are wearing at the moment... The second picture down is my perfect outfit, I neeeeeeed a decent pair of hiking boots. I have to say though - I went to Copenhagen two weeks ago (where the Anywho girls are from) and it is FREAKING cold so, I don't quite know how they manage to wear this stuff. I hold my hands up at them for still managing to look nice in -10 degrees.

Fashion aside, I'm still trying to recover from this horrific flu I've been bed ridden with for the past week! It's been good for giving me stupid amounts of time to trail the blogging world for hours on end though so for that... it's not too bad. Here's a selection of some photos of my nearest and dearest, and some snaps of some times that make me smile. Its been the most fantastic year and I feel exceptionally lucky, if 2011 brings even half the amount of fun times and incredible people - I'll be a very happy bunny. It all started off finishing my dissertation, which was a battle and a half but I got through it and left uni full of hope but a little scared. Then my time in America working with Free People on their October catalogue, as well as visiting Jemma made me jump out of my shoes with excitement. And then it all ended with me moving to London and starting my new job at Topshop, something I was so, so scared to do but have met some blimmin fantastic people and every day I love being able to go into work being involved in something I love so much. Don't get me wrong there have been some pretty rough times.... but I think you need that to appreciate all the great stuff. Thankyou 2011 and to everyone who was involved!!! oh god I feel a bit emotional now!!!

All three new purchases (the dress, the jacket and the belt) I was desperate to wear all at the same time, and luckily enough it was like they were made to be worn all together! Forgetting the rain, the fact that I've been ill for 4 days now, the constant tube strikes and that I still don't have any internet.... London life is going pretty darn well! It's so inspiring here - there's definately something in the air. I'm a month into my new job at Topshop HQ which is going so, so well. They're such an exciting company to work for... the stuff they're preparing to bring out for next year is sooooo stunning I can't wait!

Oh my god, I'm so excited right now. I just received a sneak preview of the October Free People catalogue.... not only does it remind me of the most incredible memories of being in America but it makes the whole experience feel like it's finally REAL. Thankyou so much to everyone involved, and to Rumi and Natalie for being the best people I could have been a part of it with.

Reiss Photoshoot

I was lucky enough to be invited to an event hosted by Reiss, where I got to choose some of my favourite outfits, take some photos and meet some other bloggers! I instantly fell in love with the black leather dress and the leopard print dress. I also got to keep this amaaaazing backpack which appears in the picture where I'm wearing the long skirt. The after party was awesome too, check out the photos on the Reiss blog.

So I'm finding my barings and getting used to my new life in London... and I gotta say, I'm loving it. I still have no internet thought (such a nightmare) so I'm in a little cafe just off Columbia Road at the moment updating my much neglected blog. Anyway, I'm completely in love with my new All Saints dress! Teamed with some grungy Free People boots, this becomes my favourite outfit to wear in London :)

Just posting to say I will be without internet for a week or so... I've just moved to London and I don't have anything but a few clothes and a blow up bed to keep me going for a while. I've found the cutest little house in Shoreditch and can't wait to get it all sorted into a beautiful haven. I'm starting a new job tomorrow too so it's all pretty exciting times. I'll be back on the blogging as soon as I can, I think London's going to be a pretty inspiring place so I'm sure I'll have some new and interesting things to show you... Listening to some music, feeling a little nostalgic, I decided to upload photographs of some memories. The above are from about the age of 17 to 21. It's kind of shocking how things can change in such a short time.... These photo's always leave me with fond memories though :)

On a more fashion orientated note, it's funny how my general style hasn't really changed at all in 6 years?!?! I think I may have to wack out some of these old skool outfits sometime soon...

So I´m in Spain at the moment... I pretty much come here every year to see friends and right now I´m staying in the most incredible house in the middle of the mountains. I found this awesome hat hooked on the wall and decided to take a few self-timer shots. My oh my, I never thought I would wear these boots again. I actually bought them a good 8 years ago when I was 15. But I love the idea of wearing something a bit gothic - leather and velvet - and then pairing it with something totally nordic. Why not?
